This week saw the official launch of the Greater Manchester PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) Service and their new website https://www.gmpash.org.uk/. Please take a look. There is lots of information on sexual health, HIV, PREP, contraception, links to services and much more. There is also a link to a low cost condom scheme provided by the NHS Freedoms service.
PaSH is commissioned by the 10 GM Local Authorities and is a partnership of BHA for Equality, George House trust and LGBT Foundation to deliver STI and HIV prevention and support for our most at risk populations in Greater Manchester. If you take a look at the PaSH website you can also find out more about what is going off locally for National HIV testing Week 18th-25th November.
PaSH will be doing free and confidential community HIV testing in at least one venue in every GM Borough over the week and details can be found on the PaSH website or on the national https://www.startswithme.org.uk/ website.
The tag line this year is ‘Give HIV the finger’ – the HIV test involves a simple finger prick and results can be available in 20 minutes.
The aim of the week is to encourage individuals to test for HIV and reduce the number of late diagnosis.
As usual the HIV home testing service provided by www.test.hiv will be promoted and available throughout the campaign.
