Vacancy - Lay Member for Public and Patient Involvement

This is an exciting time to join NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group as we continue to develop our Strategic Commissioning arrangements with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to develop innovative approaches to the design and delivery of prevention and care services to our locality’s population.

We are looking to appoint to the CCG’s Governing Body a Lay Member with responsibility for Public and Patient Involvement. You will have a passion for ensuring that the views of patients and the public are heard within the Strategic Commission and that they help to inform our planning and commissioning intentions. You will have a strong link to our locality.

If you are interested in this role and would like an informal discussion with Dr Alan Dow, the Chair of the Governing Body, please contact his personal assistant Jayne Somerville on 0161 342 5609.

The role specification explains that there are some restrictions on the people who can hold positions on the Governing Body and also who can be a Lay Member.  If you would like to discuss your eligibility before applying for this role please contact Paul Pallister, Assistant Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary, by email at paul.pallister@nhs.net.

This role is offered as a contract for services and is not an employed position.
