NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is focused on commissioning the very best in healthcare for the diverse communities we serve.
We aim to achieve this through a skilled, competent and knowledgeable team of commissioners. The CCG recognises that when designing services, our commissioners need to do so with equality, diversity and human rights at the core of the decision-making process. We aim to commission accessible, preventative, inclusive services for all sections of our local communities that improve the health outcomes of our patients and carers. We know that different groups experience and take up services differently. There will be a strong focus on patient experience and the delivery of effective and efficient health care services which assure patient safety and fair access to information, services, premises and employment opportunities, across each of the local protected characteristic groups. The CCG works to a number of statutory and policy drivers, which underpin the equality and diversity agenda. The main pieces of legislation and policy drivers are set out over the pages set out below.
