Getting to my appointment
If you plan to travel by car, you should avoid car sharing with people outside your household or support bubble. If this isn’t possible, you can reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission by:
- Travelling with as few people as possible.
- Sitting as far away as possible from other people.
- Opening windows for ventilation.
- Wearing a face covering and asking anyone else in the car to do the same.
If you need to use a taxi or private hire service to travel to your appointment, you must wear a face covering unless you're exempt. Please also follow the car travel guidance above.
If you need to use public transport to travel to your vaccination clinic:
- You must wear a face covering, including at transport hubs and interchanges, unless you’re exempt. Read TfGM face coverings guidance.
- Keep your distance from other passengers where possible.
- Clean your hands frequently and carry hand sanitiser with you.
- If you pay for public transport, use contactless payment if you can.
