The CRISTAL awards recognise and celebrate the personal, innovative and dedicated work that benefits people receiving care across Tameside and Glossop from an independent provider
Following the success of the inaugural CRISTAL Care Awards in October 2019, we have now launched the 2021 awards to find the best of Tameside and Glossop’s care sector staff and care organisations.
Date of awards ceremony
The awards evening ceremony will be held on Friday, 15 October 2021
at Dukinfield Town Hall

The event will be held in line with all government COVID-19 restrictions to ensure all participants are kept safe and well and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in order to comply with such restrictions.
We are also planning to live stream the event and a link will be circulated prior to 15 October as appropriate. Due to the pandemic, if circumstances mean the event cannot take place physically then a virtual event will take place and again accessed via the live stream/recording.

Who can nominate someone for an award?
Who can nominate?
- Anyone who works within an independent CQC registered care provider in Tameside and Glossop - care workers, colleagues, managers and carers, or senior management of the organisation that owns the care home.
- Any health or social care professional with links to the care delivery e.g. social workers, GPs, District Nurses and any other visiting professionals (excluding commissioning and regulating colleagues).
- Family and friends of a person receiving care from the provider care.

The panel of judges will meet to review the nominations in July 2021. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by late summer.
When is the Awards Ceremony?
Friday, 15 October 2021 – subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
How do I obtain tickets for the Awards Ceremony?
Information about ticket sales will be shared with your organisation in August.
Ticket cost to be confirmed but will include a welcome drink, hot food and entertainment following the award ceremony.
How can local businesses support the awards ceremony?
We are the CRISTAL (Celebrate Remarkable Inspirational Stars Teams and Leaders) Care Awards Steering Group raising the profile of staff and teams who work across the independent adult social care sector in Tameside and Glossop.
We are holding our second CRISTAL Awards Ceremony on 15 October 2021 following the success of the inaugural awards in 2019.
This year in particular is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the work that independent care providers have demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our awards ceremony will acknowledge staff commitment and dedication to looking after our young and elderly, highlighting the safe, caring and welcoming environment they create for those who are at their most vulnerable time in life.
The event will be attended by and live streamed to owners, managers and staff workforce across the independent adult social care sector across Tameside and Glossop. We are therefore offering you the opportunity to buy advertising space to promote your business in our awards ceremony brochure which will be handed out to all event attendees on the night and distributed to all the independent providers.

We are also planning on holding a raffle on the night of the awards and therefore will gratefully receive raffle prizes.
