The aim of this event is to offer an interesting and diverse range of information and 'taster sessions' that give you to chance to consider how you do, or could, meet the five ways to 'wellbeing'; Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give and Take Notice. Included will be information about your 'Neighbourhood', what it means, who's involved and how it is working; information about scams awareness, credit union and fire services, 'Your brain and you', promoting patient control (especially at the end of life) and how the Bureau can help you to find those things in our community that you may need or simply just enjoy connecting with.
There will be demonstrations and taster opportunities for some physical activity including gentle seated exercise, singing to breath and allotment activity. Insights into lip reading and mindfulness, the Bureau's Computer restoration skills development project and DIY with Renovate. You can drop in to hobbies such as knitting, patchwork, embroidery and artwork or consider undertaking a course from the Adult learning program.
We will also be asking people to tell us what they would like to see under the 'Wellbeing' headings. Finding out what people particularly enjoy means we can put people in touch with local groups or help set up a new acivity where they don't already exist locally.
Pop in for a look around, a cuppa and a chat.
