    NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG celebrates ‘Good’ rating by NHS England

    NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group is proud to announce it has retained its 'Good' rating as published by NHS England's annual performance assessment of CCGs 2017/18. 
    The Health and Social Care Act 2012 requires NHS England to make an annual assessment of the CCG. As part of this assessment they have a duty to assure NHS England that they are able to commission safely, use budget responsibly, and are consistently working to improve quality whilst reducing inequality across the region.
    They are measured against the CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework, which allows them to see how they perform against other CCGs across the country.

    I’m really pleased that we have retained our ‘Good’ rating from NHS England for another year. A testament to the hard work of everyone in the CCG including staff in GP practices whether that be doctors, nurses or support staff.
    “I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say each year brings new challenges, especially balancing tight budgets with increasing demand for a range of services. But all the time we continue to innovate and improve. That track record of positive change is why Tameside and Glossop has become a go-to place for others seeking to learn about the benefits of integration across health and care.
